7-year-old OTTB Mare
Birdseye Baby or “Bird” is lovely chestnut OTTB mare. She came off the track last summer and after some let down time, he has been restarted slowly. While she is a chestnut mare, Bird does not act to that stereotype in any way. She is extremely sweet and in-your-pocket type personality. Bird has the athleticism to take her in any direction with a lovely jump and movement that would be able to go into the dressage arena. An amateur or teenager would be successful in bringing this horse along to reach her full potential in a program. Bird has no vices, up to date on all vaccines and dental, as well as is good for the farrier and vet.
5-year-old OTTB Mare
ChestfulofTreasure or “Evelyn” is lovely dark bay OTTB mare. She came off the track the summer of 2019. Since being off the track she has been slowly restarted to allow for growing and maturing. Evelyn is doing small jump courses and has been over ditches, through water as well as other small cross country elements. She is very smart with her feet and super athletic with scope for days over fences. A confident amateur or teenager would be very successful in bringing this horse along to reach her full potential. Evelyn has no vices, up to date on all vaccines and dental, as well as is good for the farrier and vet.
9-year-old OTTB Gelding
Tranquility WRF, “Willy” is a lovely, long legged OTTB gelding. After he came of the track last year, he has been slowly restarted as he has done a lot of growing. Currently he is 7 years old (2012) and standing at 16.1 hands and may grow some more yet. Willy came off the track with clean x-rays, but currently has a bone chip in his fetlock that was sustained in the pasture. The fetlock has been evaluated, and was deemed not career limiting in any way. With that in mind, Willy will do well going any direction. Willy is very fancy on the flat and is has been starting to work over small fences with a very correct jump.
6-year-old OTTB Gelding
Invictor WRF or “Victor” is lovely dark bay/black OTTB gelding. He came off the track this past summer and after some let down time, he has been restarted slowly to allow for proper muscling. Although Victor is young and quite green yet, he has an eagerness to learn and takes everything in stride. He has been trotting and cantering poles. He has been free schooled over fences and shows good form, but he has the movement and athleticism to take him in any direction. An amateur or teenager would be very successful in bringing this horse along to reach his full potential. Victor has no vices, up to date on all vaccines and dental, as well as is good for the farrier and vet.
12-year-old OTTB Gelding
Shiloh is an absolutely gorgeous, 16.1 hand, 12 year old (2007), off the track Thoroughbred, gelding. He has been at Wulf Run Farm since he came off the track as a 4 year old and has spent the majority of the time as a lesson horse. He is known around the farm for being one of the sweetest horses and the biggest heart. He has evented through the Novice level, and will continue to gain show experience. Over the years, he has also done numerous schooling shows, cross country schooling, and trail rides. Shiloh is extremely scopey and has a naturally balanced canter. He is forgiving when his rider makes a mistake and doesn’t have any bad habits or vices. He is generally uncomplicated on the flat as well, but he can be powerful and would be best suited for a confident rider is in a consistent program. Shiloh is good for the vet and the farrier, and is up to date on all shots and dental.
9-year-old OTTB Gelding
Damien is a classy, stocky type OTTB gelding. He is currently 9 years old (2010), and standing at 16.0 hands. He has a nice deep barrel that can take up a long leg very easily and is very sturdy with a wide chest. He started his second career as a 4-H horse and recently came to Wulf Run in April of 2018 after his previous owner was going to college. Damien has done cross country schooling; going over ditches, through the water, and has been working through courses. He has a super jump and is very willing. Currently going in a rubber nathe and moves well off the leg without being too forward, making him suitable for an strong amateur or teen with guidance. He is sound with no vices or bad habits and is good for the vet and farrier. Up to date on all dental, and shots.
WRF Amarillo Sol
9-year-old OTTB Gelding
Amarillo Sol WRF or “Tex” is lovely chestnut OTTB gelding. He has come up through the levels and has turned into a wonderful Novice packer. He has many miles put in at recognized shows all over the Midwest. He has the potential and scope to move up the levels. Very obedient and correct in dressage, brave and bold on cross country as well as careful in the stadium ring even when his rider gets him to a bad spot. He can trail ride on his own or in a group, and has gone to many schooling shows, cross country schoolings, and clinics. He moves well off the leg, but is quiet enough for an amateur learning the ropes in any discipline. Tex has no vices and good for the farrier and vet. Tex’s only real fault is he requires at least front shoes.
5-year-old OTTB Gelding
Oliver Twist “Oliver” is a stocky 5-year-old (2014) gelding that came off the track as a 2-year-old. He is a graduate of 2017 RRP and has completed a horse trial at Silverwood Farm at Starter level. He has several schoolings shows and has schooled Beginner Novice questions. Due to his age, he has not been pushed too hard to allow time to grow and mature. He has a solid foundation in dressage and is very honest to stadium and cross country fences. He can hack down the road with a group or by himself. Oliver is very level headed, but is still green and would be best suited for an advanced beginner or amateur in a consistent program. Oliver is good for the vet and the farrier, and is up to date on all shots and dental.
The Spanish Hope
13-year-old Thoroughbred Gelding
The Spanish Hope or “Goose” is a lovely 13-year-old bay, OTTB gelding (JC The Spanish Hope). He has a ton of experience is a been-there, done-that kind of guy. Goose has been in the jumpers up to 3’6″/3’9″ and evented at novice level at schooling shows. He also has been in dressage training most recently. Goose has had no soundness issues, currently shod all around but can just go in front shoes, and is up-to-date on all vaccinations and dental. Stands well at the trailer, clips, bathes, and is good for the farrier and vet.
